HOPE FOR THE HOPELESS-PART 8
Are you already discouraged as a result of the delay in the fulfillment of the promise God has given you? Yes, it is true that discouragement may set in, but then, there is hope for you. Prov 13:12, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life”. The heart may grow cold towards God and His promises once there is delay. Our state of heart notwithstanding, God is still faithful to His words and promises. Also, it is important to know that delay is not denial. When it appears that the fulfillment of the promise of God comes late, it comes bigger and better eventually. So, there is hope for you!
For the promises to be fulfilled in our lives, we do need to hold on tightly to the promises of God with an unshakeable faith. Heb 10:23, “Hold tightly the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who has promised is reliable, trustworthy and faithful to His word”. Abraham, despite the delay experienced by his wife Sarah, staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief but rather waited giving glory to God until the fulfillment of it (Rom4:20-21). As you await the fulfillment of the promise, keep giving glory to the LORD. God will do that which He has said concerning you regardless of the delay. Numb23:19, “For God is not a man…….” Never doubt in the dark what God told you in the light. He will surely bring it to pass. I pray that the yoke of delay be broken in your life today in Jesus’ name. There is hope for you! God bless.
